During its heyday, the renowned Ekso salmon weighed on average 10-12 kg. From the late 1800’s, the salmon-stocked section of the Ekso River was rented out to English lords, a plantation owner from Guatemala, ship owners and merchants from Bergen. The river and fishing holes are easily accessible by vehicle or foot. Cultivation work is actively being done so the salmon eventually returns to the lower Ekso. In the meantime, Ekso Elveeigarlag can offer exciting sea trout fishing from July through September. Welcome!
