The road winds ten kilometers from Nesheim to Brekkhus over the 700m Nesheimsfjellet mountain pass, the highest segment of The Emerald Ribbon. Magnificent views over the valleys of Eksingedalen and Teigdalen are the reward for journeying to these heights. During the summer months, motorists share the road with grazing goats, sheep and cows also on summer holiday. In winter and summer alike, Nesheimsfjellet is an excellent starting point for skiing and hiking trips.
